Kids Educational Software Site

Our software is written in Java which means that the software will run on multiple platforms. You can install the software on Windows, Linux, Mac OS or on any machine that has an operating system for which Sun has a JRE (Java Runtime Environment) download available.

The software is easy to use and affordable. The educational software concentrates on problem areas in the curriculum. Each software application addresses one area of a school subject – hence you only need to buy the software application that addresses the area in which your child needs extra attention. We take pride in all our software applications and use the maximum effort in each product to make it as efficient as possible.

Mathematics

JFundi has started off with mathematics, the area in which most children need to develop critical skills. One of the most basic mathematical skills a child requires is the ability to know the multiplication tables really well because it forms the basis for mastering division, fractions, decimals and so on. We believe that, in order to conquer these basic mathematical skills, kids have to memorise the tables first. This is best achieved by numerous repetitions. Our  Times Tables application will serve as a great aid in this endeavour because it is designed to help the child memorise the tables and also to identify the tables which he or she doesn’t know very well yet. The application generates a report for each practice session, which can either be printed or saved to disk. Parents can use this to monitor the child's progress. We also offer a free multiplication chart for you to print!

Tell Time

JFundi will develop more software as we identify more areas in the school curriculum where children struggle to cope. We are busy developing software to help children read a clock in both digital and analog form and to state the answers in words as well as in numbers.

Languages

The software is currently available in English and Afrikaans only but we will add more languages should the need arise. We will need volunteers to translate the language file and if you would like to help, please contact us.
